Hi Guys,

You may well know that Stone Leisure acquired the Electric Bike Magazine from previous editor Peter Eland.

The new mag is out today with a fresh new look and is on new stock paper. New Editor etc.. Peter still contributes.

Not sure if its available to view online, but I believe it's available in places like WH Smiths, Major Super Markets etc.

We also have copies here should anyone local like one, just get in touch.
A good read for anyone who likes to sit down with a cuppa!

Regards
Martin

It seems to be paper only at present, subscriptions are £25 a year and it's published two monthly.

Here's the website

Having read this first new issue it has plenty of content. I'm not entirely convinced by the newspaper style format, but hopefully it will be successful enough to revert to the previous more glossy magazine style in due course.

Hopefully this magazine will be in touch with what the UK market seems to want, and not focus on super high end niche futuristic products that give people a false image of what eBikes are and the types of people who use them.
Peter Eland's influence seem to be strong in the new publication, so it will hopefully continue as before, reporting on and reviewing mainstream market e-bikes.

I have met the new Editor and team at their offices in Sidcup. They have done a few very impartial tests on our bikes for their motorhome publications.

They are a professional and enthusiastic group, I am sure the magazine will go from strength to strength!

All the best

Its not available in WH Smiths but is free from a selection of Supermarkets and a number of Electric bike specialists.

If anyone wants a copy I have 50 here which I'm happy to post out via my publishing business. Just email my subscriptions manager Louisa at subs@silverbackpublishing.rocks supplying your address and we'll post one to you FOC.

Thoroughly decent of you. I couldn't help but take advantage!

They'll probably get a bunch of subscriptions out of your generosity. Maybe one will be mine. It sounds a reasonable offer.

Regards. Steve

P.s. I hardly ever read magazines or news papers (Private Eye is my only likely purchase) but I confess to have bought a copy of the Top Gear magazine as something to sift through on my current camping hols. I did have a good look for an electric bike specific rag only two days ago but found nothing. Hence the Top Gear mag.

I don't get it. The reason that Peter Eland's magazine did not get anywhere is because they appeal to the wrong crowd.
They'd get my subscription the day they'd put the £370 Tesco Hopper City instead of the Haibike xduro on the front page.

Tesco are not likely to pay for ads in e-bike mag.
