I haven't had trouble with the chain jumping off!Eddie has had problems with chain jumping off the small chain ring on his KTM/Bosch bike.
Haibikes - and some others - have an extra jockey wheel to prevent that.
Hard to say how common Eddie's problem is, but if you are wanting to do proper mountain biking, a bike with the extra chain guide might be good idea.
No such problems with a hub motor, and lots of people like the Panasonic motor fitted to the KTM.
One thing in its favour is it has has a bigger battery than the Bosch equipped bikes.
This link shows the Haibike's extra chain guide.

The photo that I posted up was of someone else's KTM that had an additional sprocket fitted, and nothing more. It was Martin that chose to say that the sprocket jumping was an issue, not me. There was in fact no chain jumping. On the Haibike that you have linked to, the extra jokey wheel simply prevents the chain from hitting the swingarm and nothing more. If there was a case for it preventing the chain from jumping off, or even to prevent chain suck, then all the Haibike range would be fitted with the system and they aren't. Nor are countless other bikes that are manufactured with the same Bosch motor.
I had trouble with the front sprocket jumping off my old Haibike that was fitted with the large size sproket, but this problem was hardly a surprise given the rest of the quality of the bike. Poor paintwork, rubbish welds, rear dropouts that failed, a rear wheel that jumped out on three occasions, a rear hub that was constructed from cheese, and so the list goes on.
The only issue that I have had with the current front sprocket as fitted to the KTM was and is chain suck. Martin said that chain suck was of no surprise, but failed to respond when I challenged him to send me a bike, in order that I could prove that Haibikes would also suffer from this issue. Clearly he knows that the Haibike would fail the test.
edit.. For ref here is the photo. You can see that there are two sprockets, and the chain has not jumped off. My bike doesn't have KTM stickers on the crank arms either.
And the kit.
One Haibike with the chain hanging off the front sprocket. But in the exact words of Martin "
adopted after their R&D actually riding & testing their bikes". Clearly some irony there somewhere.
