Excited to find this forum so I can share my experience on my new toy a Bultaco Brinco R.

Spend most weekends off-road biking around different parts of the country and decided recently I wanted to up my game a little with an off-road electric bike. Found the Brinco R online (https://www.bultaco.co.uk/collections/motorcycles/products/brinco), contacted a local dealer and ordered it. Well the torque on this bike is incredible I was soon tearing up trails that had seemed impossible for me before. The ride is amazing as well, almost seems like a cheat because it's so smooth! Plus the added speed (got it up over 40MPH on s flat terrain) lets me cover so much extra ground really opens new routes to me I had to leave before due to time constraints. Very impressed overall.

I owned one earlier this year and it was a superb bike with incredible suspension and power but for me i couldn`t risk the thought of an accident with a third party or getting collared by the law.
I tried to get insurance but they wouldn`t touch it because they are highly illegal.I still ride a slower S class bike and i`ll stick to that as the Brinco was too much.

The trouble with the Brinco, is that it looks so obviously illegal......
I wouldn't want to ride it on any public road..... and i've never been that bothered about fracturing the odd law.

Very impressed overall.
Personally, I like it. It's just a shame that we don't have the boundless off-roading opportunities that they have in America. This bike would be ideal there. :)

It's a great bike SteveJ. A great bike that little Britain will whine about, because it looks too much like a motor bike. Although, when you look closely, it's obviously not. Or is it?.. If you see what I mean. :)

You'll be damned either way with that.

I fly around the woods on mine and I get the weirdest looks. It's clearly an e-MTB. But people have still had the police following me home along a bike path afterwards. They didn't pull me, probably as I was going 8mph and pedalling like miss Daisy.

On that motorbike lookalike, with a full face helmet, you may not be so lucky. But, pics and videos would be good to see. Good luck and have fun SteveJ. :)

Here's how my off-roader looks, when it's clean.

Yeah the only draw back to it is that I would never dream of taking it out on public roads, paths, etc. Not a big deal for me as I use mostly private land! Think they have other bikes that are road legal? But not a toy I intend to use for my commute!

The road legal ones could be good for 'green laneing'. Bultaco made great trial bikes (motor bikes), so these could be good? Lots of off road legal highways for them to use and more eco friendly than petrol bikes. I might have been tempted if I was younger.
