Hi. Took delivery of a Kudos Tornado today and all went well apart from the speedo and odometer not working on the king meter display. I've gone through the settings and there is nothing within to rectify so it's probably a sensors fault but not sure where to look.
Any help would be great.

There's normally a magnet on the wheel and a sensor on the fork. The magnet must face the right way and pass very close to the sensor.

No traditional magnet or sensor that I can see. Wonder if its part of the hub?

Did you look on the back-wheel too. The BPM motor doesn't normally have a speed sensor, although one could easily be fitted. It might be best to give Kudos a call, and then you can tell us where the sensor is.

Some LCDs have advanced settings, where you can tell the controller where to get the speed signal from. Maybe someone didn't set it right.

Nothing obvious on back wheel. Will contact Kudos tomorrow morning and post the outcome. Will also do a proper test ride if the weather holds out.

Contacted kudos today and was told to check various connections etc etc. and now waiting for a phone call for the next step. May be a problem from within the hub???

Chased them up as no phone call!! Now sending a new rear wheel/hub. Should fix the problem apparently.

That's good service. It looks like the speed sensor is inside the hub then. Some controllers can use the hall signal. Others have a separate hall sensor and magnet using the 9th white wire in the harness to send the signal.
