Well, Hatti is still here, spending the last day of holiday in sunny South Africa - so do not fear, I will be back posting regulalry from next week onwards!

Ha ha! You don't know me...Hatti the adventurer. Always shunned mega posh travel (and can't afford it either). Took the Shosholosa Meyl tourist train (NOT the Blue Train, got to sell a few more bikes for that), from Cape Town to Joburg. All good at first, train scruffy but clean, but painfully slow, and had the habit of stopping in the middle of nowhere for 30 minutes at a time. Eventually limped into Joburg Park Street station bang in the middle of rush hour and 4 hours late. Absolutely knackered last night.
Went to some bike shops in Cape Town while there and asked about electric bikes. None of them did much but were quite interested. I think it could do well in the future with more publicity/awareness. Now if you and we set up together in SA we can each have a lovely long holiday every year all expenses paid, what do you think?
