It is amazing riding my new e bike today - unbelievable!

However I have only one working brake.

The front brake locks in and then the wheel does not turn :/

The only way to get it turning again is to fiddle with the big kink in the cable and it takes about 30 seconds to loosen the wheel to motion - not so high tech!

Basically the plastic cable housing is so twisted and kinked in one spot (almost a 2 cm, knot, that I cannot straighten it.

The twist might have happened in transit, anyway is there a possible simple fix or technique to straighten it, maybe electrical tape to hold it, perhaps the cabling inside is now too damaged, is it likely that I will need a new break cable??

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated!

If your new bike came pre-boxed with the handlebars separate from the frame, then you may have fitted them slightly wrong.

If this is the case, removing the handlebars again and untwisting the brake cable may solve the problem.

That outer is damaged beyond repair, but will be simple to replace. I think after the picture has been sent to the supplier a new one will take a couple of days to get to you.
