Hello,
For a while, I was looking for an e-bike and I was waiting for the kalkhoff that this season will be imported in Spain for a dealer.
This weekend in Madrid was Festibike, :: FESTIBIKE 2008 :: LAS ROZAS - MADRID ::, and I can prove a new model made by BH, :::: Bienvenidos a BH bikes ::::, and in the spanish catalogue, BH Bikes Carretera-Course you can see the new model. Its price 1400 euros and 1800 euros (deluxe edition), Only 21,3 kg included battery and whith susspension fork.
Best regards

This is the bike, the Panasonic motor is like the Pro connect S. The cassette is a 13-26 8 gears. In Spain the legal limit is 25 km/h, I wonder how fast will be this bike. It looks like the Agattu, but only with 21,3 kg.

Are you sure about this? A member with the forum name Poppy has bought one of these BH Panasonic bikes and tells me he's not too impressed with the performance. It's certainly nothing at all like the S series Pro Connect or Flyer models, and Poppy suspects its the lower rated motor, less powerful than the standard Pro Connect and more like that on the Agattu. I think you'll find it only powers to the EU legal limit of 25 kph.

I didn't know of any difference between the pro Connect and Agattu motor?

As Flecc says, I am not impressed with the BH performance. At the same time that i sent the bike to Factory for minor repairs, I asked for them to check the motor. They told me that it was allright.
Ok, I am not a fit biker, but even so i don´t think it performs motor-wise like the Pro C. to judge by the owners raving reviews. I can assure you that with the BH you don´t "flatten" all hills.
Yes, it´s light and great on flats. And very confortable. But if I were you I wouldn´t go for it if you live in hilly surroundings.
Poppy.

Erik,
Flecc is referring to the Pro Connect S with the new Pansonic higher performance motor. This gives similar performance to the Flyer T series HS models. The original Pro Connect and Agattu share the same Panasonic power unit.

I believe there may be a slight difference in the tweaking of the software on the standard Pro Connect which raises it's power a little over the utility bike version on the Agattu, and that's what I was referring to above. We're not speaking of a major difference though, just a slight one.

Even the original Lafree could be tweaked a little by approved dealers having the right equipment to alter it's eprom chip programming.

The S bikes are a different case altogether of course.

Thank you for the information,
I could ride this bike on a small and flat circuit, I can't compare with the Agattu or Pro-connect cause I never
ride them. The feeling that I had was similar to other models with 250 watts hub motor, I'm not fit and need to travel to work 21 km go and 21 km return. Now I make only the return way using a dahon in around 1 hour (55 min is my record).
You can see my hilly surroundings in the next picture.
I have to ride the first 21 km of the next picture, and return using the same way.

The "bike road" is great in general, in some ponints there´s a lot of cross with semaphores.

It would be great if I could test before buying it.
Also I'll wait for the price in Spain of the new Pro-connect and Agattu, but the older was 2300 Euros and 2100 Euros.
Regards

Those hills aren't particularly steep, only looking dramatic on the graph, and they are very similar to one route around my area. I used to ride that for years with a Lafree Bike with the standard Panasonic motor and it wasn't a problem. On most of those inclines I would average about 11 to 13 kph, and over that whole journey about 18 to 19 kph.

Since that's about the same speed the Dahon trip you're doing, you should find it easier with the bike doing half the work for you, but no faster. To do the trip appreciably faster but still legally, you'd need one of the more powerful hub motor bikes like some of the eZee and Wisper models.

Thanks Flecc, If I can climb at 11 or 13 kph without much effort in the medium or more inclined hills, and keeping the same speed in the flat (usually makes wind). Perhaps I could better the chrono, and getting less tired and sweated.

I just wanted to say something about BH Emotion.
I purchased a BH Emotion Deluxe 1 month ago and I am 100% happy with it.

As I said in another post, it is a pity that I purchased it one month ago, because the guy in the shop told me 2 days ago, that BH has recently increased their catalog to 10 models, including road bike and MTB. I am in process of negotiating with the shop the possibility of changing the bike by a new one (I will love road bike).
