Hi all
My wife and I have been ebiking for about 3 years now. I have asked for help on this forum a couple of times and have received the help required to get me through a few problems.
If anybody followed any of my posts they would know I purchased my wife a second hand bike from a friend that was approximately 18 months old. The bike was never used and the battery was looked after and charged regular. I changed the controller on the bike to give a little more flexibility with the ride and the battery is still performing adequately.
We have had the bike 2 years and it was nearly 2 years old when we purchased it. I have been looking around for a replacement battery but it seems batteries have increased in size and there is not enough room behind the seat where the battery is located to fit a new one. The height is not a problem or the width but the depth is about 10-15mm too small. That's the problem with buying a second hand bike that is no longer in production.
Has anybody else had the same problem with older bikes? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated if I can get a solution now I have time before the battery loses it's power.
