Drat - I just noticed that delivery time is two months.

Is there a place in this country that keeps such things in stock?
There's loads of 20" Ebike kits on eBay for £150, so you could buy one of those and just use the motor wheel, just check the motor connector and fork size

I can see one issue - the drop-outs are not inboard of the fork tube, so the fork tube might catch on an alternative motor. The photo shows rigid forks so if that does happen you should be able to solve it with a couple of extra washers to spread the forks a bit.

I just looked at this:

Wheel kit

I see fork size, but not connector.

Looks ok, if you want to be careful take a photo of your existing connector and send it to the seller to double check or ask them to send a photo of the connector

I think it says it supports v brakes in the description but I'm not sure what language it is in

Im very happy with my yose-power conversion, they sell 20" front wheels and kits but on their site they seem out of stock.. this amazon seller seems to have some? but only in a kit for £190..

Yeah, I had a look at that one, that looks like it should work with v brakes but I couldn't find it it in the specs
Thanks for picking that up.. A quick check of the Yose 700c kit description similar to mine does indeed specify V brake compatibility which is absent from yose-power (?official) 20" kit description, But Is listed in the description picture/banners of the amazon ad which also has some very 'generic' pics too??? However my 700c black powder coated rim has bare metal silver brake rim surfaces!! unlike those pictured??

At least with via Amazon if op takes a punt a return is not gonna be a major hassle, unlike ebay sellers..
edit ;- doh! perhaps a query via email first..

So, I ordered the wheel from Cyclotricity in the end.

They took my payment, told me I'd get it quickly, via DHL 'Premier 24', and gave me a tracking number.

Days came and went, DHL said they never received the package, yet Cyclotricity continued to tell me to be patient.

I just got a phone call from them, telling me that they never in fact had the wheel, and expressing surprise that I was given a DHL tracking number.

I suppose it's eBay now?

Its a pretty low risk purchase - front hub 36V motor 20" wheel, 100mm forks ? (check) make sure it supports v brakes , 9 pin connector ? (check). Maybe @Woosh has some - don't know who delivers to isle of wight though

This reminds me of some management training I had early in my career. They divided us into teams of 5 and set us a problem to solve. Each team was given two similar kids jigsaw puzzles in one box and were told that the the pieces had got mixed up and maybe a piece lost. The teams had 10 minutes to get the answer of whether a piece was missing or not.

I was the team leader for my group. I took one look at the pieces then made the first suggestion that both jigsaws could be done in 5 minutes, so we'd get the answer. The team members sthen tarted making suggestions that might give a quicker solution, like looking at the colour of the cardboard on the back and counting the pieces. After about 2 minutes of discussion, we had made no progress, so I told them that I was in charge, just get on with it. A few minutes later, we had the answer with about 1 minute left on the timer, and we were the only team of about 5 to get it. I, personally, lost a few points in my assessment for not being persuasive enough to get them willingly on-board with my decision.

The answer's simple then. You need promoting from Esteemed Pedelecer to Chief Pedelecer so you can have the authority to be more 'persuasive' in getting forum members to do what they're bloody well told! :D
