Can someone tell me main difference in rider experience between 24inch and 26inch wheels? I already know bigger wheels less bumps, 24 inch wheels better hill climbing?

bigger wheels roll better now that there is 27.5 wheels and 29er the 26inc wheels will be a thing of the past as there is now no development done on them.

tho some dh riders still use them in comps but not that many tbh.

I can't see a problem, plenty of folk out and about on Brompton's and I think they use a 16" wheel.

I like 26" wheels, although my Son who is a bike Tech, tells me that these day's only cheap Chinese bikes come with 26" wheels, 27.5" is the flavour of the nation at the moment with 29" coming a close second along with 700c.

I guess 24" is more common on folders and kids bikes etc.

The main reason we are going to produce a 24" wheeled bike is the bike's saddle is lower for shorter people. Many people like to have both feet planted firmly on the ground when stationary.

Aha, how about the forward crank models like Schwinn, Electra and others? But negative on these kind of bikes it's impossible to stand and pedal?

But if powered would one ever need to get their butt of the saddle?

So....today I test road a couple of bikes to see how I liked them.
Firstly a
Kalkhoff ProConnect B1..nice bike but felt a bit too upright. Felt like a $1000 bike with a motor at $4200
Secondly a BH Evo - cant remember the model, but was a MTB style at bit less than the Kalkhoff - had a Brose motor. Nice bike but felt I was leaning too far forward.
Then I made a big mistake, took a Haibike Xduro HardSeven Plus RC for a ride. First time I've ever (and I mean ever) felt completely at home on a bike - wonder if this is what people experience when they have a bike properly "fitted" ? Felt like I could ride forever..... It is out of my price range at $6200 - unless I can find a buyer for my body :).
I'm now waiting for a 2017
Cube Reaction Hybrid HPA Pro 500 to arrive at a local shop in the next week or so (only 3
$3500). Anyone know much about them? Or should I just sell a kidney and buy the Haibike...?

cheers

You can make more or less any bike fit you and give you a comfortable riding position by changing the stem, bars and seat height. That shouldn't normally be a deciding factor.

The spec level on Cube is good for commuting and light/occasionally MTBing. For more serious MTBing I'd recommended air shock and 11spd.

Also checkout
2017 MERIDA BIG NINE E-LITE 650 TITAN BLACK

Better shock and slightly better components. Same CX drive.

I took it back to Eurobike this year to show again on the stand, would you like to buy it Dave?:) It's in Austria at the moment.

All the best, David
Well as a doner for a recumbent the torque sensing cd drive is right up my street :D
