Currently researching step-through electric bikes. First-timer! Want to cycle country lanes with a Jack Rascal terrier up front. Like the look of a VOLT Burlington. Rather pricey but may be worth the expenditure. Any thoughts or advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Looks smart and well equipped, and the frame looks stronger than some step-throughs. Have a look around at the other brand options though, some are much lower cost.

Don't underestimate the power of the Sprint Primo, a lady came with her husband for a test ride this afternoon and found level 2 pedelec assist quite enough with 3 more levels to go, the husband preferred using the throttle .

They decided to buy on the spot and took it away, the husband is coming back next weekend for the GTS version

Thanks for your helpful replies.

I'm currently travelling in Austria with my Jack Rascal in a Bongo campervan! Returning to the UK September so will start looking in earnest and trying out different bikes later in the year but it's really useful to have contacts ... Where to go, what to see. For now I'm simply doing research via the internet.

Came across the SMARTA LX today .... Looks like the sort of step through, sit up type of bike I'm looking for. Now for a look at the Sprint Primo.

At least Argentina gave Germany a run for the money ... I thought it was going to penalties!

Hi Pat,

If you are traveling to Vienna during your trip to Austria, the best car park in the city centre is in Ringstrassen-Galerien / Mahler Strasse, 6 hours for €6

Also it is only 1 hour east to Bratislava in Slovakia, good food, cheap beer and the prettiest girls in Central Europe Parking not easy to find.

2 hours further to Budapest, Hungary, my favourite city in Central Europe, free parking at weekends

The tiny plane in the photo which I took whilst staying in Bratislava turned out to be a Spitfire which was paying a tribute to the Czech and Slovak pilots that flew with the RAF during WW2.

Couldn't quite believe what I was seeing at the time, what drew my attention was the distinctive sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine followed shortly by a lump in the throat
