Occasionally we have a customer who insists on putting their foot flat on the floor at stop, this is a sure way of wrecking your knees when riding.
Thanks again Dave for your help.

Because of my dodgy knee I need to be as far away from the pedal as possible. It's second nature to get off of the saddle when I stop. Until 3 years ago I was doing all my shopping on the hybrid with no problems but I lived in a very flat area - now I live at the top of a steep hill!

My budget is up to about £2,000 so the Tornado is well within that even given that I will want to add a rack, mudguards, lights etc. Just to check, the Tornado does have a speed sensor, not torque? I appreciate the offer of sending the bike back if it's not suitable - I had made up my mind to go the the LEBC in a couple of weeks' time (we've been in Italy and France for a month and will have to catch up with gardening before I can think about a bike!) but it's maybe not worth the trip if the Tornado is the best one for me anyway. I will definitely want to add a rear carrier and have found the link on here for what I'd need.

Getting closer to a decision then!

Hi again Helen,

The Torq already has mudguards, rack and lights that run from the bike battery.

You also have a choice of 4 battery capacities plus a 2 year warranty and it is very comfortable to ride;)

Helen, the Tornado has an option pack that includes mudguards, kickstand and lights,it is a cost option but I know that LEBC usually include at nil cost.
Yes the Tornado is a speed sensor.
If your budget is up to £2000 you may wish to try the KTM Panasonic bike and also ,as you are quite light, the Vita Uno 26 at £695.00 is worth a try,if only to compare. Try to give yourself a full day,Hampton Wick is a lovely part of London ,opposite Kingston, alongside the Thames,Hampton Court palace and Bushy Park is a lovely bike ride(mind the deer!),Thames Ditton and Kingston have some lovely restaurants.
Tom at LEBC has become very knowledgeable about these bikes.
KudosDave
