http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bristol-show.18100/page-2#post-224263Thanks I re read your post 6, at the time I had no concept of what you meant by strong motor, I just thought the Bosch must be equally as good??
I now of course understand what you mean after today's ride
Could not see the Oxgen MTB, can you find me a link?
Denwyn.....everybody has new models due....the time of the year is coming out of the peak selling period ,the big manufacturers release their new models at the Eurobike show, early September, but delivery is usually delayed until year end or later.I must admit im leaning towards the big bear, but at the moment they have no stock, makes me think maybe they have a newer model waiting in the wings.
Skint...25 per cent is one hell of a hill,it's the sort of hill you get the pitons and climbing ropes out,no pedelec will ride up that steepness of hill without standing on the pedals!I'll try to find out the gradient tomorrow, I guess its between 20-25% ?
Hi Dave. Emm... Now I know you soft southern shandy drinkers think anything north of Watford is Scotland. Skint is in Manchester, which, while North of you, is way South of me. He's 221 miles from me and 246 miles from you according to my Garmin.....you are not that far from Jimod in Scotland ,perhaps he would let you have a ride on his Typhoon.
KudosDave
Thats very nice! Any idea of the price range? Would you say its as good as the KTM hubmotor or better?http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bristol-show.18100/page-2#post-224263
Post#32 and some thereafter.
The main batch arrives tomorrow. You can get them from South Yorkshire Electric Bike Centre or from Oxygen dealers later if there's any left. It seems that they're going fast (in more than one way).
The Big bear will not do that on throttle alone (even though it's a very decent climber)I'll try to find out the gradient tomorrow, I guess its between 20-25% ?
I hope that is a typo....Kudos has no supply problems,we currently have good stocks of all 17 bikes in our range, our stocks have been reduced a little but still 400 plus bikes in stock.din, if you have to face this sort of hills, you need the Big Bear, the Oxygen or one of the Ezee bikes. dmsims has the Big Bear LS. kudosdave, Woosh have supplies problem this year, all the new bikes are shipped out in September, arriving October.
Skint...The BH Neos,Oxygen MTB,Woosh big bear and Kudos Arriba/Tornado/Escape/Typhoon all use derivatives of the BPM motor so their performance is similar. The KTM Panasonic with its 48v power just seems that bit more powerful but it costs around £2k.Thats very nice! Any idea of the price range? Would you say its as good as the KTM hubmotor or better?
I used to have a KTM DukeIf you're trying to climb a 25% hill without pedaling, I could sell you a 955cc Triumph Tiger.
you are lucky with your planning. Woosh sold more bikes in the spring than expected, they must have lost quite a few sales in the last few months. They still hold about 350 in stock.I hope that is a typo....Kudos has no supply problems,we currently have good stocks of all 17 bikes in our range, our stocks have been reduced a little but still 400 plus bikes in stock.

It's somewhere around £1600. The Panasonic motor in the KTM is very good, but the system doesn't allow a throttle. It's a bit like the Bosch, where you have to pedal hard to get the full power. The Bafang CST motor in the Oxygen comes from the biggest manufacturer of hub-motors. You can buy them from anywhere if you ever get a problem, but I've never heard of any problems with them. I have the same motor in a couple of my bikes, and I run them with twice the power, so I know that they're very robust. My bike would run rings round a KTM, but I have a much more powerful battery and speed controller too, so it's not a fair comparison. The Bafang is bigger than the Panasonic, which is why it can produce a lot of torque whilst remaining robust. Out of all hub-motors, the Bafang CST is my favourite: It's smooth, relatively quiet and very powerful.Thats very nice! Any idea of the price range?
