The fan on the charger is annoying my work mates, can any recommend a quiet replacement fan?

I see a bike locally that travels at over 25 mph down cycle tracks, with no sign of pedalling...
So many people seem to think that this is quick on a peddle bike when it really isn't.

Anyone who is reasonably fit and owns a halfway decent road bike will reach this speed on a daily basis, the only real difference between that and a quick e-bike is the ability to maintain it over a longer distance.

I'd like to know more about the "cycle track". If this is a tarmac smooth surface then yes. I could do 25 mph on my CX700 no problem. If its mountain bike terrain then that is a different story! ...

Small update:
I have not fitted some Magura hydraulic brake switches that cuts the power to the motor when either brake is applied

I have also upgraded to rotor sizes front and back to increase braking efficiency.

My chinese wheel rim on my motor wheel has failed, I notice a spoke had broken and on closer inspection noticed the tyre was bulging and the rim had split. I've now replaced it with a Halo freedom disc rim 29er which is a 700c rim but capable of taking 38c and wider tyres. I laced up the rim with the motor this afternoon and all looks good so far.
Thats pretty much it.

I think most people on here who build their own bikes are not professional bike builders and would not fully understand what would make their bikes illegal on the roads.

If I was building one I would do exactly what I wanted to do knowing full well that the average police officer on the beat would also not know what is and is not legal on an electric bike. I have a throttle on my bike...illegal in Denmark. but I am happy to take my chances.

Nice one mate. It looks like a good job and if you are happy with it, then that is what counts.

Interesting that you rim also failed. Mine was the same on the bpm. Still when purchasing a motor in a wheel its cheap as chips from china. But the rims are spokes are pony!
