Anyone know if a 700c mudguard is likely to fit a 29er bike ?

Just got a Kudos Typhoon and want to put some decent long mudguards on it but not sure what to order size wise as its a 29er wheel

Thanks for the help but I was looking more for the traditional long type guards with a couple stays with a rear reflector and flappy type bit at the bottom of the rear mudguard

I think traditional mudguards might be thin on the ground for a 29er. Although the wheels are the same diameter as 700C the tyres are much deeper and thicker. Of course you could always put some 700C touring tyres on (if the rims aren't too thick) and touring mudguards. However I think you'd have more joy with MTB guards.

Hope you're enjoying the Typhoon!

I think the nearest you can get is SKS Beavertail XLs. They're only about £14 a pair from Tredz. You can see in this photo that they're much bigger diameter than 26". I'm sure they'll be OK for 29".

Could I ask in this thread does anyone know a good 26" front mudguard about 2" wide which does not flap about hitting under the frame while going over bumps?

Ah, sks do a 65mm version of their bluemels in 700C. Full mudguards with stays and I've just been reading a thread about them mounted on a 29er.

Only if you change your tyres I'm afraid - they aren't wide enough to take 29er MTB tyres. Try the bluemels 65 for a similar, but wider, design.
