Will a 27.5 x 2.1 width tyre fit & run ok on a 35mm internal width wheel that's got 27.5 x 2.8 tyre fitted?

It's a normal wheel right? I don't see why not. My 2.35 and 1.85 sized tyres both fit fine on the same wheel.

I'm only guessing here, as I have no idea, but presumably the narrower width that that you go, the squarer that the tyre will inflate, which could affect cornering stability.

As said though, I am only guessing at that.
