You can get steel tie wraps, put insulating tape around to prevent scratching the frame.

Do you mean for toughness? and the plastic on the mounts, or the actual battery base?

As I mentioned in a previous post, it's worth securing the battery also with straps, whatever solution you come up with. I use two of these, which fit nicely around the battery and frame:

Alfatex® by Velcro® straps

The size I use is 50cm x 2.5cm
