Hi,
I would like to motorize my Streetmachine GT recumbent bike.
In the short list are Tongxin or Bafang at my 20” front wheel
Now my problem:
My (spring-loaded) wheel fork allows an inner width of 100mm (close to axes) but narrows after only 30mm (from centre) to 80mm (due to springs).
The dimensional sheet of Tongxin states a width around the axis of 105mm, which narrows to 101mm.
For Bafang, I have no dimensions.
The nuts of both of the motors seem to be M12. My fork has a 10mm slot.
I could get a (inelastic) fork with a 100mm width (with 10mm slots)
Does anybody know if this might fit?
Is it possible to expand a fork a “bit”?
Or –better- has anybody done the same retrofitting recently...
Thanks for your help
