Whilst I agree that the motorcyclist is in the wrong, the cyclist is also at fault - he isn't stationary, he's clearly moving slowly forward, and he shouldn't be on the phone whilst he's cycling, IMHOIndeed, idiotic behaviour by that motorcyclist. It didn't matter what the cyclist was doing, he was stationary so there was no possible excuse for colliding with the bike.
It was just impatience.
I agree as to the cause Flecc, as I said, but it's still foolish to be using your phone whilst cycling, as it is whilst driving I wonder if it contravenes any law too?My mistake then Phil, I thought he was stopped. However, although wrong, the phone made no difference, he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head to see what was going to happen so no amount of attention would have stopped him being hit.
I agree Phil. There are some behavioural laws on cycling which are a bit catch-all, so no doubt one of those could be used.it's still foolish to be using your phone whilst cycling, as it is whilst driving I wonder if it contravenes any law too?
