Motor cutting out after a few seconds

Hi it shows no speed because it turns the motor on for a few seconds and then cuts out until it slows down and with another rotation it will start up again.

It probably thinks it's reaching the cut-off speed. Switch it on and wheel the bike along at 4 mph without power. You should see 4mph on the LCD. Tell us what you get.

Not showing any speed that i can see as the motor only turns over for a few seconds,would it be anything to do with the HALS connector wires could one or two wires be loose in the sm plug would that cause this problem.

Don't use the motor. Just switch on the bike and push it.
