Bet it rattles in the frame as well as introducing another place for moisture to enter your frame.

Just wish the darned things came in a 2 x front option .... having to buy a single unique pitlock for your front wheel on each bike is a bit of a pain ... chances of remembering to take the right key with you for the right bike is dubious for some of us (!) ... so most likely all will wind up getting carried about on the ever-growing "jailer's ring" !
