Hi,

I've been looking for an ebike for a while to do a 12 mile commute.

I've done a fair bit of research, but not tested any ebike yet. I'd like to try Cube & Haibike, as these seem to be good for my budget (upto 2k).

Does anyone have any experience with Moozido, the bikes look cheap (half price?), so I'm wondering if there's a catch.

I'm based in Dorset, so Cambridge is quite a trek for me.

Would it be worthwhile spending a day to visit them, or are there alternative shops selling these ebikes at a similar price?

the address on the web site just shows a house but there is no way you can get a haibike ht for 699, the batts on there own costs that much

My guess is if you try to buy a Haibike from them they will take your money, tell you it is out of stock, refuse a refund and point you towards the cheap alternatives at the bottom of their web page, which are generic hub drive bikes.

I totally agree, which is why I'd spend a day visiting them. I definitely wouldn't buy from these guys online.

Just thought Pedelecs was a good forum to ask / confirm my opinion.

- A dongle to make it above 25kph?
- Would they do this with a warranty?

yes a dongle will remove the speed limit but it does not give the motor any more power.

ebike shop is buy appointment only so you just cant walk in and have a look round but id go to the other place for a test ride and to get the right size frame cos if you get it from ebike shop take it out the box and put the wheels on it and find its to big or small he classes that as now 2nd hand and will only give you 60% of the price paid back for it.

the problem is with warranty and and taking it back as if you dont buy the bike from them they will charge you for every software update and any labour under warranty to swap out a part.

What it means in real terms is you can go faster, but more than likely going to overwhelm the low end brakes they come fitted with, and if per chance you get in an accident, the courts throw the book at you.
