Sorry I'm afraid the controller and motor warranty would be invalid if you used a 48V battery -

However - I will be happy to provide the kit with a 48V 500W controller and LCD03 display so you can reduce the current on the controller. Then it should be safe to use with a 48V battery without burning out the motor, you will also get a higher top speed. Please note though this would still be outside of warranty so I'd still recommend you used a 36V battery if you can
