Perfect match for your £200k GTS, a snip at £10.5k

They do look nice though....

Just watched that video. Looks like a sure fire way to get really smashed up - I mean the rider smashed up.

I remember riding with a mate on mountain bikes in the Cheviots when they first became a thing. This guy was a super athletic type - a real specimen of the human male at its best. We were flying down this track, him without brakes, me with plenty of braking and I saw with horror, how he hit something and went up in the air and somersaulted, but hit the ground head down. I really thought he would be wrecked - Christopher Reeve style, but this was before Reeve's accident.

As his head hit the deck, his feet were up in the air, but he ducked his chin down to his chest, or it was done for him by the impact and his shoulders took the brunt of the force. He was dazed for a moment while I feared the worst, then he stood up and swore. I was pretty surprised and relieved. I was sure he would be paralysed.

Mercedes bikes are cheaper if you are on a budget.

Apparently the same company is making all of them. I will wait for Dacia bikes.

So that equates to just over 15kg !

I reckon I would prefer Tony's 14 kg full suspension bike and it would be better on roads and trails. Probably cost one tenth of the price.

(that is 36V 10Ah battery, but you could increase it to match the McClaren 36V 15Ah battery and it would still be lighter)

Yep agree about the VFM of Tony's machine, I bet that hustles along nicely on trails.
This McLaren mid- drive at 121Nm would probably beat the hub motor off road.

True - I wonder how many people that buy the McClaren will use it for hard core MTB ? A lot of my retired friends have £6k Bosch mid motored full suspension bikes and potter along off road trails. They tend to stick in eco to make the battery last the ride. Could probably choose a lower max speed hub motor if you wanted more torque.

So we have a new type of power now: "250w normalised power". How is it calculated?

I see a tiny skinny guy standing on the pedals the whole time while wrestling the bike over the rocks and through sharp turns. It's not going to be much use for us to ride to work or go shopping is it? Why can't someone just make a nice bike for riding around on the road. Everything they come up with is extreme in one direction or other. There's never anything sensible.
