Hello folks,

I have noticed that the cassette on my four week old Crossfire E has started squeaking. I think it is coming from the Jokey wheels (is that what they're called?!)

I think they might need cleaned. They do appear fairly dirty. I don't fancy removing them, removing the back wheel etc. I feel I could easily get something wrong. Is there a way of cleaning the cassette/jokey wheels etc without removing everything? what would i need in order to do that?

Thanks folks.

The video above looks right but shouldn't be necessary very often unless you do lots of muddy off road.
Just scrape the excess mud off with screwdriver or similar, maybe finish off with a toothbrush (preferably one you won't use on your teeth again) and rag, and a shot of chain lube in the 'bearing' part of the wheel.

I use a sponge scouring pad (non stratch version), then cotton buds to help dry the surface.
