Magura worse than Banks

fair point... but it does show they are listening and implementing changes to help us in the UK. I think its all part of Magura / Bosch now looking at the UK as a market they can support. We'd never really appreciated before how concerned they were about the legalities of selling their (250w) motors here whilst they weren't technically legal.

Now the law is about to change to make 250w officially ok, Bosch and others can finally actually put their weight behind a UK push for eBikes. So they are doing lots of things to support the UK market. New staff / systems and other things are all coming into play. The Paypal account is clearly one of them.

It is about time they got their act together. I can only comment on the experiences I have had. I am very dissapointed with Magura and to a lessor extent Bosch. I am not that suprised about Magura as we have had similar experience with them in the past, which is why we are even more annoyed that Bosch did not appear to care.

I am not going to say more than: this is the worst experience we have had with any company either in business or elsewhere, it has been going on for months.

ok, your experience is something we can't comment on. But for balance I should point out we've been dealing with Bosch and Magura directly and indirectly since our first contact with them in July 2012.

We have experience of working with many European companies, either as our suppliers or employers and, communication is never a strong point with the UK with any of them. This is why they all need a dedicated UK person or team to help.. and Bosch are getting one very soon.

Eddie,

Don't forget to tell them what they want to hear: that you will shaft the punter at every opportunity to keep their costs down.

Our situation was promised to be resolved on 21 November. It is now 1 December and it is still outstanding. Magura charge 8% interest for bills not paid promptly perhaps we should do the same :)

Still no reply since they said the issue would be resolved by 21 November. Maybe I should ask Santa to sort it for next Christmas as this Christmas appears to be wishful thinking :)

Still unresolved.
This might be of interest , even if it just helps you write the right kind of straightforward 'pre-pre-' or just pre-action letter to focus the other side's mind. I know it's annoying but a lot of disorganised or understaffed or just quite cynical businesses, like consumers, annoyingly just use formal debt collection processes as a kind of reminder and source of un-agreed interest-free credit with the other side. Like - when you get the letter with red ink on, for some people that's when it's time to pay, and not before. Annoying I know.

Jonathan I did mention taking further action if the problem occured again. Unfortunately this was not appreciated I was told "You have shown your proffessionalism. Especially your threats are very appreciated". This is despite me receiving a letter from them stating they would chase us for the money which was allegedly owed through the courts.
They also stated that they never said we were owed 36 Euros despite me having an email which states that our account has a credit of 36 Euros.

All I wanted was for the service to dealers to improve.

I am aware of the Paypal payment method which is good but want to be prepared in case of some unforseen problems occur. I hope not because there appears to be no clear process for complaints and some emails were unanswered for weeks on end.

I just hope our future orders are simpler. New Year new hope :)
