I'm afraid I can't comment on this as the bike was bought and purchased in Ireland so nothing I can have any influence over, either way.
However If it was me my bike and the dealer had helped me out like this, I'd be dropping a box of doughnuts off in his store to thank him for his help. A good relationship with the shop will get his warranty extended by years, not just 3 weeks
