Hi. New member here. Let's get straight in. I have a greenedge cs2-16 bike from ebike direct. The 1 to 4 loom leak in water and shorted out. Controller and display damaged. Manage to get the controller, lsw1188-7-1, from ebike with a harness but no such luck with the display.£1000 2 year old bikes might as well be from the neolithic period as far as parts go. Anyway I've attached a pic of the display numbers. Is there any compatible displays for this controller. Can power up by linking battery in, red wire, and controller power, blue wire, to get it to run in level 1 assist but with full throttle control but without rx tx connection that's it and it auto offs of course. There it is. Cant source the original, unless someone has one laying around, and find any real info at all on compatibility. I work on electric cars and they have similar issues. £10000 pound controllers for a hybrid that's hardly worth that repaired. For the transport of the future this is a poor start.

The displays are made by Intelligent/ATP far east outfit China, Tianjin electronics.
Though they supply them matched/programmed for other controller makes aside from Lishui, also used with Bafang and the ill- fated GSMoon mid drive.

I have a working, little used 800s in the spares bucket from a GSM. If GSM used Lishui controllers it would/should work ok.

Maybe worth a go. Price dependent. Already spent over £ 100 on the controller. They have correct one for special order at Dutch firm called RAT but as you say the programming has a large part to play. Are you uk. And a price please.

You should have asked here first. You could have got a much better complete system for £70. It breaks my heart the number of times that people have a problem, try to fix it, which causes another problem, then they come here asking for help. The problem is that people don't know what help they need until they're in trouble. Every simple task becomes difficult, though for every problem, there's a simple solution.

Just a question. Why did you need a new LCD and controller? I've never known both break together except when somebody tried to bodge the wiring.

I'm well aware I could get a full system from china that would take up 6 weeks to arrive. The speed controller on the green edge is in the battery base and I got that plus the harness next day. As I said the cable let in water and shorted out, as in burnt and fused, obviously putting 40volts into rx and or tx wires or even 40v straight to ground. That's what's meant by "short circuit". The point is it should not be necessary to replace full systems.

I detest brainless alphas. I work on electric cars and have done since 89 when trained with citroen. I knew going on a forum was a mistake because of fools that know nothing but give blindingly obvious advice. Another member has offered a different lcd for the same maker but doesn't presume to know if the protocol used is the same. That is trying to help. One thing I always tell lads I train at work is" never listen to alpha types. They always know nothing and on electric cars they'll get you killed. Fact is after 2 years £1000 bikes should not drop into prehistory with a need to search the planet for parts. That is the single reason I didn't buy a £3000 bike a the time. The Chinese make all these parts for the rest of the world but they standardise their own because they not stupid and realise after sales is the key for new sales.
