most I have done on one run is 44 miles..on my ktm macina 29 MTB . I still had plenty of battery left at the end of the run out

.I sometimes carry a spare battery of venturing further afield....rucksack required.

Eddie,

No I don't use strava..

A couple of friends were burgled last year and during the police investigation it transpired that the Burglars were following STRAVA to identify good bikes to take. Mate lost a very very expensive S-Works road bike ( just short of 10 grand ! ) I am aware that you can set up ''perimeter' to hide your home address but don't want to risk it..

I tend to use the ktm mostly on eco..and if I can I set to ''off'' to conserve power. .The biggest mileages I get are on roads. Off road the most I have done so far is about 23miles on tracks / forest /moor tracks nothing too steep..

I use a battery cover to keep the heat in and it seems to work and give good results in cold weather. I also charge the battery up inside a heated room off the bike.

I have only got down to 1 bar on the battery power indicator and that was last year in Norfolk when I thought I had charged it up from the day before ...

It only has the ACTIVE LINE motor...as per pic in profile and is shod with Smart Sams although I pump them up to about 50 psi for road use so less rolling resistance.

I have only had cause to use the spare battery once when I rode my bike to work, 26 miles each way. Even though there was capacity left in the battery I swopped it over - but that was in the first month we had the bikes. Wife has a Macina Tour Plus with the Powerline motor so pinch her battery when she is out at work :)

I let the battery run down to one bar on the 'meter' at least once a month then fully charge it up for use...Not sure if that makes a difference but getting some good results.

I am very happy with the range on my macina...What sort of mileage do you get ?

i would cycle to the train station pop my bike on the train and then pay for the train fair and then go to the nearest place to where i need to get off to my destinstation then cycle the rest.Surely that would be better then getting loads of buses all the time too.

if you are commuting to this place very often it would be cheaper to get a year pass so you don't have to pay out a lot of money it could come down to as little as a couple of pounds to go on the train per trip which is nothing really.

Anything from sub 11 miles to 36 miles.

Based upon using no assist, eco and tour.

.
hmmm...you must be going up some steep hills ! :)

or...have you tried another battery from another bike just to check on mileage ?

My wife and I did a 38mile return journey ( hills / flat roads / couple of downhills on bypass near home ) and had 2 bars on battery and I think about 20miles on the eco setting....

My boss gets around 60 miles riding the Haibike too, as she mainly uses it in eco but we like to get out into the hills. Like Eddie, I can get it down to less than 10 miles if I hammer it, in turbo! Using a BBS02/750 with an 11.6Ah battery, last Saturday I managed 40 miles (avg 12.6mph), but had to ride the return conservatively to make it (managed to include the M4 lap of Roman Lakes though, which used 2 bars)...it was hail-stoning, muddy and cold too.

Sadly that doesn't really give any indication of feet climbed? I'll hazard a guess that it's pretty flat where you are. I can only dream of getting that sort of range. Oh and here's one of those facts that adds nothing, my house is at 800 feet ASL.

Ours is at 232, so not quite on a flood plain either lol...after seeing Artstu's Strava stats in another post, we're close to each other but he's closer to the tops than we are...riding the same area tho, so if you see three older types slipping and sliding on e-mtbs give us a wave as you go past!

I get 90 to 100 miles on my Kalkhoff bike, with its 17Ah battery. One of the big advantages of a Kalkhoff, as not many bikes are available with such large battery capacity (and the battery does not weight that much more than a 11Ah or 15Ah battery).

Lots of people just don't start the app at their home location, but at a street/pub nearby... Also, you don't necessarily need to publish your journeys online

I estimate that I could get about 106 km from a 17 Ah battery thrashing it i.e. lots of assistance level 3 to 5. About 118 km riding more conservatively.
