Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi there.

Im looking to get an electric bike to commute to work and am looking at either this:
Meerkat Metro electric 26'' bike - Tesco.Direct

or

Electric Bike Sales - Shop Online for Electric Bikes, Electric Vehicles and Cycle Accessories - Powacycle Milan 2

Basically the commute is 10 miles each way, but i can charge the battery at the office during the day if the battery is removable (not sure?)?

Looking for little to no pedaling as i do not want to arrive at work all sweaty and there are no shower facilities there.

The journey there is nearly completely flat with one large hill on the way back (i can cycle that with no assist if need be)

is that going to be possible at all with theese bikes?

Thanks for all your help in advance,

looking forward to seeing some replys

The Meercat is definitely the faster at around 15 to 17 mph during the run but will only just manage the one way journey without pedalling so would have to charged at the other end as well. Also a bit noisy, but the more powerful of the pair for that hill.

The Milan would have more in reserve on the range, but could barely manage the two ways so that would be best charged both ends as well. Definitely a little slower though, at 13 to 15 mph. I think it's the better made bike and operates much more quietly.

Battery removal for charging is easy on both, but the batteries are heavy of course.

Meercat Metro is just another name for the Currie Izip bike, and 50cycles have just one left from when they represented them. They'd be prepared to accept an offer just to move it. Use this link and ring or mail them, you could get a real bargain if you pitch low to start with! :) Be cheeky and try £200 first!

Here's the posting where Tim of 50cycles says this a few days ago. IZIP
