I'm thinking of changing the grips on my [wife's] Agattu to some of these Ergon grips, which are standard on Flyers and quite amazingly comfortable. The ones on the Agattu are similar in some ways but do seem to move around a bit, at least on the right-hand gear shift side. The Ergons are held securely in place by a clamp and in addition, it is easier to install bar end accessories like a mirror or bar end bell.

Oh do let us know how you get on with those! I love the flat grip style on the agattu, but they do slip round a lot, i can shift it while i'm pedalling and do it out of instinct now (particularly on the rhs where i have a bar end mirror so less grip.

If you slide off the grip rubber and apply some rubber solution from your repair kit inside the grip, then slide it back on and leave it for a while to set, it should stay still. It's still possible to remove them later despite this.

When doing this, slide the grip on instantly in one action, since the solution can rapidly set and stick half way if you take too long sliding the grip on.

Thanks for the advice Flecc. It might be difficult to slide on in one smooth movement as the grip is very tight ( How it manages to slip is beyond me) and would require a great deal of force and determination to sheath effectively. Something I often have bother with ( ooh err missus):D

You'll find it isn't tight at all with the rubber solution Tom. With that wet, the grip will skate on like lightning. This was the standard way of securing grips in my trade days, hence the tip.

We are speaking about the only one to date, the Panasonic gear motored one, which had no designation.

The front hub motor version and the alpha designations are for the 2009 model range.
