Are there two holders containing 10 cells each, as depicted in the video at 34 seconds, and at 2 minutes 10 seconds?But the other obvious bit, how would the connections for a BMS work ?
Looks like a 6 sets of 3 in parallel ..............

So unless the product is fake, they appear to have found a way of contructing the battery pack and contacts in such a way that the 'self replaceable battery' is possible and maybe, just maybe, reliable.Apologies, of course you're right - the top left hole in the foreground holder is square. My damned eyesight...

Agreed, I still get battery contact issues with torches etc, so I presume that problem has not gone away.Lights today aren't as bad as the old NeverReadies, but the contacts and switches are still often pretty awful. And Bosch don't seem to have cracked reliable rack battery contacts, or Intuvia display contacts.
I can't remember the last time I used D cells - even when I needed them for a randomly wagging rat tail under a blanket toy for my cats, I used AA>D converter sleeves.I too have many memories of dualing with the contacts on low current applications such as the batteries that were so common in cylcle lamps from a bygone age;
I think it's mega-strong magnets holding surfaces together, but time (and reports of riders stuck to lamposts) will tell.So what possible invention have Licvall invented ?
