lithium battery problem shutting down after short distance

I have a 36 v lithium battery quite new i can run 1/2 mile it stops unplug, plug in and it’s ok for short distance again reading 42v any help would be good. The bike is okay with another battery

What does the Battery indicator on the bike show when you ride the bike?

Full but it’s just an indication on the throttle

Has one physically measured the battery voltage with a meter after charging ?

Do the lights go down just before it cuts off or are they showing full and just suddenly go out, or do they stay on all the time? This will point you to where the problem is.

Suddenly or do they drop down just before going out. It's important.

Can you also tell us about your bike and battery? A photo would help.

Going to pop a new battery on it to eliminate the battery

If the lights suddenly go out when it shuts off, it's probably a connection issue. If they ramp down quickly, it's probably that you're over-loading the battery

Please give details of your controller. motor and battery.
