Hi guys ( dear journal )
Analog Motion AMX owner here , i have the pesky SW102 instead of the DZ30 and some other 2 i don't clearly remember as i used to work for Gopuff and bought my bike used and also got to try each and every version of this model . Water got in up the plug because it's design is meant to wear overtime , that's how they made the top button .. could barely have hit the perfect spot to be able to turn on my bike and that's how damage went overtime . I have ridden with a non compatible display whilst having error 30 for about 3 whole months , the yellow cable TX ( comms ? ) seem to be in the right place from what the manual say .
Now the problem i'm facing is the pedal assist don't wanna work after about a 2km ride or so it depends, throttle response nothing on 3 different products . Lately what it does is spin out on it's own for a long period of time . I have to also mention i've swapped the rear with the same motor because i did not want to build another wheel for my previous buckled and axle rusted wheel , parts are scarce and since i still found new stuff why not , i also needed a Gates CDX freewheel so a fresh build seemed perfect to go with . Again another weird stuff happening , i couldn't see anything on the display due to the error but this wheel did not sound as usual , it was more like a solid trapezoidal wave . I've had power going out time to time upon riding and could hear some sinewave too along the way , i solved it by plugged the old wheel back again and freewheel it midair for a bit and switched back problem solved .
Things went smooth for like 500 km's then i started experiencing PAS power cuts along the way while display still switched on , if i go switch my bike right now i can hear a single click inside the ESC and also displays remain shut until after the click for some reason . The PAS is working as i tried it very much every single day experimenting but i get the same behaviour , while no load on it wants to spin almost endlessly if i let it but when i put my ass on it nope , it cuts out and i'm left stranded not working again . It's like those mosfets inside draining somehow as i ride have no clue really as it works again for a very short time , less than a km .
I have found a Aliexpress seller which had various Lishui controllers ( customized ) with somewhat good feedback and have sent in photos and explained my situation , he's put my own image that i sent to him showcasing the label underneath my controller and advised to order and trust the team , also extend the transit time so they don't run in trouble with Ali due to the product not being shipped on time and having to refund me , have no worries as i paid with Paypal . I highly doubt i'll ever run into anything again if he orders straight from Lishui which i cannot get a hold off and have the trader customize the ESC ( adding Z910 motor connector to the ESC and who knows what else ) so i can get my stuff running . I'm aware i should have ordered a KM529 from him but for now i wanna see if i'm still able to retain the original design of the ESC , it has decent amount of silicone inside so perfect waterproofing for the UK weather as i ride in rainy days .
Plan B is to swap the PCB from a Kunteng ( KT ) Reention Cuttle to the old Lishui and solder the 2 pin plugs to the KT as that's my biggest concern for now , haven't fully destroyed this old Lishui to check if them pins removeable for swap . The community have said that i should buy a 100quid EGGrider v2 but surprise surprise , for some it hasn't worked so i'd rather have a custom ESC from a chinese who knows where to source his stuff rather than waste money away . I also have hunted and found an S866 display which happens to have the layout i need but it's stuck in transit since the beginning of the month . Contacted a company which makes that Dz30 , Star Union and i'm waiting on a response who knows maybe after 3 years they still able to produce something if i order in bulk and who knows .. Lishui's mosfets might hold on forever hehe .
What's everyone's take on this , with 12 batteries that i have right now i can't really just swap away for a compatible pair of display and ESC , don't need the stress to build get to know battery building . I have looked just tonight at a Grin Baserunner Z9 , i have no clue if that thing is able to run lower amps so i can get at least 15km's out of each battery at least . It just strike me now, what if i keep the original Lishui with the strap mount that it has ( no battery locking system as the Cuttle has and although the battery casings quite cheap it's too much hassle again ) solder those connectors to the 2 pin and hope they withstand current , waterproofing and keeping the look still sleek will be a challenge but with the moustache handlebar and the Deliveroo backpack on a rear rack in the back gives it away to the police or to potential thieves that it's an e bike and out back there's treasure . I have a plan for this too , for now the batteries are concealed well but eventually i'd have to integrate a moped style box and use a soft material to soundproof the thing as batteries will sure bounce a tiny bit .
