If they are using std LSW firmware then you may be ok, as Woosh says there is the option of custom firmware to prevent end users going elsewhere to buy spares. That way one is forced to pay Switches price.

I think it’s time to draw a line under my Swytch set up and accept I can’t improve it meaningfully. l’ve a nice 700c bike that I think I’ll focus on, with a nice free-running wheel, KT controller and standard battery pack!

I think they discontinued it. But you can make one using an HM-10 bluetooth module -- there are some schematics out there. You will also need the Lishui Fore Rider app which is also unmaintained.
