The Poundstretcher ones are normal batteries , 4xAAA in the front and 2xAA in the rear . The front is like the one for £4.99 in the Argos Catalogue page 231 cat. 333/5820 . The rear has a clip which attaches nicely to my Halfords Bike Hut Rack Bag . The front of course clamps to the handlebar and you can see when it`s illuminated, as a ring of light faces back to the rider . Very high tech. for not much money .
