The EN15194 (law in Europe) requires a 250w motor, but doesn't limit how much power you put through it.I thought 250 Watts was legal and not 1200 Watts ?

Er, is 10 per cent what we used to call one in 10?I suppose it's quite possible you don't know just how steep a 10% grade hill is ?
Here's a 9% one http://app.strava.com/segments/810015?filter=overall
1 in 10 doesn't seem steep to me either. Perhaps Strava is cheating me then.Er, is 10 per cent what we used to call one in 10?
If so, it's not very steep.
and 15mph not very fast, so there should not be any reason for the law to pick on aged riders wanting to beat the hills.Er, is 10 per cent what we used to call one in 10?

Couldn't say for sure right now but I cannot see any reason why the Tonaro would not climb that hill at 15mph.What about the Tonaro?
48v battery and 30 amp controller?Piece of cake! Just tell us if the motor melts!Couldn't say for sure right now but I cannot see any reason why the Tonaro would not climb that hill at 15mph.
Peaking at 1500 watts (if that is allowed???), the Tonaro should zip up there in 4th gear without breaking sweat.
Will look out for an appropriate 10% and report back either way.
