Actually it wasn’t clear that you were trying to buy parts from him and wanted advice on which to get. That’s not the same as asking for help with an issue when you didn’t buy the bike from him.

"My wife says I'm special but martin@ebikes obviously does not."

There's no doubt in my mind that I'm special.
I'd go as far as to say very special but unlike your wife I sense mine (think Sadie Stern) would be unlikely to agree.
On the plus side I bet I could get a chain ring out of Martin if I wanted one.
The swings and roundabouts of life Eh?

No Issues with the bike what so ever.
I guess I feel that forums are here to help one another and promote what ever there connected with. IN THIS CASE E-BIKES
We all have a common interest and with sales I believe in Europe of 160,000 and here in the UK Circa 10,000 but sure some one here will have more accurate figures.

The UK market falls very short, say compared to Holland, Germany and others and seem at present to be considered a novelty if the comments I get and questions raised when out on my E-bike by many other cyclists and members of the public ie Martin@ebikes future customer pool.

It seems to me, his response was very unprofessional in a market place that needs help and professionalism/understanding in its expansion.

We are not all accomplished home builders to enable an E conversion and many of us lack the skill, interest or time and so want something off the shelf ie good quality factory builds.

I think this site is of great help to both the home-builder and information about ready available e-bikes and I certainly used it in my buying decision ( Martin@ebikes was my first call to purchase

The answer I received from him when trying to buy every day consumable parts ( not for any fault with the haibike) seemed to be at best curt and possibly even rude.

Whilst fully reading his reply about not dealing with customers/parts who have not purchased fro him why does he advertise parts to retail without making his position clear.

As I stated before others on this site were most helpful in front ring size and chain length and purchased much more cheaply and not from China who Martin accused me of. Indeed I am in a fortunate situation of not being price driven and was ok with Martin's prices, just prefer to have shopped with someone from the forum here.

ps were all special, even Martin@ebikes

Hi Eddie
It's diabolical you going off thread as we all know that haibikes don't struggle off road, truly awful how they make a bad rider look good

Any photos of it in the mud of the South Downs for this thread http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-using-there-e-bike-off-road.15780/page-23?

Sorry for going off topic there Martin. :)

.
Mud likely caused by German electric bike being ridden along the pathway.
The reference to the Somme is a subtle clue.

Nope don't have any pics of bike wallowing in mud. The Downs are a bit muddy this end but not too bad.
Found the Haibike to be a bit of a Panzer.

I sometimes look at this thread:

In comparison I reckon my bike has an easy life.
