Sorry I've been thinking again for my project.

As I'll leave the bike overnight outside. And the whole day outside while I'm working (I'm not always allowed to bring my bike in the office).

I'm going to start with the cheapest bike (below £50):

If you are going to test the idea it needs to be with a step through as they are less likely to be stolen as opposed to a cross bar.
If you spend 50 pound on a test bike you are probably better off buying the electric as otherwise you are wasting 50 pouinds if it work out ok, just use it as is and change the batteries later if it works out ok..
