Hello all,

I remembered kudos telling us they were selling motor for around £100 as spare... and I decided to look at their website...

Look what I've found:
http://www.kudoscycles.com/index.php?cPath=2_3_11

Rear wheel (20") + spokes + motor = £84.38!!!

And this one:
http://www.kudoscycles.com/index.php?cPath=2_3_5
Front wheel 26" (incl spokes & motor) (black or silver) = £88.56

Why would I buy motors from BMSbattery, pay £100 customs charge and £200 shipping cost when I can have a motor wheel all assembled for less than £100??

If it's not these oldies brushed motor and have a quality of a Q100H I'd say Kudos is going to be my favourite motor provider

Cwah....I did clearly explain that these bargain spares prices are there because of our policy of keeping all Kudos spares at a fair price so as to keep Kudos bikes affordable for the long term.
I am pleased to say that we sell very few spares so our bikes are obviously holding up well.
I am happy to sell the occasional spare part to Pedelecs forum members,as long as it does not reduce our spares to a point where our stock falls below a point that we cannot service our own customers bikes.
It may be of interest that buying spares off Chinese suppliers is based upon experience....when I release a new model I order spare parts to support that model, normally 5 per cent of the production run....if those spares sit gathering dust that's to the good. But the difficulty comes when trying to order a small quantity of spares mid production, then we are at the mercy of the supplier. This is often the undoing of new e-bike importers from China, they often bring in a container load of bikes with no spares, cannabilizing a new bike to satisfy a spare....you would soon end up with a 'graveyard' of part complete bikes, not a good situation!

Thank you so much.

Are you able to list the motor model you sell as spare? I'm interested in the q100h, q128h, bpm2, xofo motors. Over 250rpm at 36v.

Sine wave controller with strong regen would be good as well as the latest frame mounting batteries

Sorry guys,I cannot supply any of those references, all my part nos are referenced by my OEM supplier,I purchase spares by a completely different set of part nos,if you want specific references you are better off using BMS battery as a supplier.

I used them as reference because they are proven efficient and reliable motor.

As long as they are as good (or better) than the one I purchase d from bmsbattery I don't mind.

Actually, as supplier you may have compared different motors and probably know how your ones compare to the commercial one. And maybe you could recommend the community toward new and/or better motors

cwah, you can't run regen on a hub that freewheels, which is the case with all the ones you listed.
