Thank you. I think it will tick most of my boxes. I was set on the Bold, but after riding it at the weekend I found the front to be a bit on the harsh side. I never thought I'd end up with a bike with suspension forks.

Do let us have a full low-down on how you get on with it in the Peak district, won't you ? Don't forget the 'miracle mudguards' if you need 'em and your front fork doesn't have a fixing point :

Buy SKS Beavertail 26 Inch/700c Mudguard Set at Tredz Bikes. £11.84 with free UK delivery

Couple of cable ties holds the front one in place - there's a photo of the fixing method on here which d8veh posted for me - Post #47 :

Of course I'll let you know how I get on, it seems such a long time ago since reading about this bike when Eddieo got one, although I think his got sold on a short time later.

I will be fitting some proper SKS mudguards, after the poor experience my friend has had with her mudguards similar to the ones you very kindly highlighted for me.

As you will see it has lugs for mudguards, and threaded holes on the rear too.

I can't just tell from this photo if there is already a tapped hole for the front of the rear mudguard though

The bike landed today, the box was rather large and also rather battered, luckily no damage other than a little plastic cap that sits on top of the L/H fork leg. I've had a huge amount of those air-pocket bags to pop. They were just loose in the box, clearly the bike has been unpackaged before, a shame they didn't repack it in the same way it would have probably come from KTM, and whoever put it in the box had extremely dirty hands.

All cleaned up like new though. It's a none UK bike with a German manual and the rear brake lever on the right, luckily the levers just swapped over.

I've had a quick ride and am very pleased so far. Mudguards and a rack to fit next. I'll also have to see if I can find an English manual on the Bosch display to work out what is what.

There is an English manual on Bosch website. We have this bike but with 400wh battery and it is a nice bike. Can not provide link to it, internet speed is slow at the moment. Google Bosch bikes and click on Bosch e bike website, from memory manual is in download section.

Hope you have fun on the bike.

I'm over the moon with the bike, despite the 200% limit the hub-geared bike has compared to the 250% on the derailleur versions it will still get me up any local hill pretty easily.

I've fitted a rack and mudguards now, it's a lovely bike and looking forward to getting to places I could never do on a none-powered bike.

Have to say they are great bikes, not difficult to add nice pair of mudguards and pannier rack if required.

Great stuff. Really glad you're sorted. Hub gears so much less to think about ... you can concentrate on what you want to do now rather than constantly having to prepare your bike for what you're going to need next before you even get there :).

Yes I've got used to hub gears now. I've also got the pause needed on the Bosch whilst changing gear sussed, you do lose a bit of momentum, but it's not too bad. I'm romping up hills in 5th and thinking I can handle 6th and with the huge gap between 5th and 6th I'm then running out of steam. I'm just being a bit over ambitious that's all.

Excellent custom job that, really nice trekking machine. And you still have some cash left over towards a 400ah battery for all-day rides.
Yes and thank you very much for the heads up. It took me 11 days to hit the button :)
