KT-LCD5 speed / distance lag

Hello
I have a problem with my ebike. I have a KT-LCD5 display and when i startup the bike and ride the speed and distance dont show up, it takes about a 2-3 or more minutes for the readings to show up. Is it something from the display setting? The bike runs fine just that after each time i start it it will not show the speed reading, and if it dosent read the speed the total distance is not recorded.

I use " Pedelec sensor " i think its called. I dont know more, but i think the problem started from when someone helped me change how many magnets are in the motor.
For 4 years i ran the bike not knowing that and the speed was half and distance to, so if i did 25 km/h it was more like 50 even tho i already changed the wheel dimension when i bought the kit.
My friend told me that the speed and distance are given from inside the motor by the magnets.
This is the kit. If they didnt change what it has from 5 years ago.

What you've ringed is a cadence sensor, typically just used to determine whether or not you are pedalling, but not how fast. It won't give speed, because that also depends on which gear you are in; and whether you are freewheeling.

The one to the left looks as if it might be a speed sensor (I may need correction there). It will be mounted on the frame or forks close to a wheel, with just one magnet on a spoke of the wheel. That will count wheel revolutions, and so with the wheel size setting will give speed and distance. The magnet should pass the sensor with around 1 to 3 mm distance; either can easily get dislodged which would cause some of your problems, but probably not the 2-3 min reading delay.

Check all the connections are really clean and tight.

I'd double-check the speed against a phone GPS; they may both be a bit out but you'll certainly know if was being doubled. Actually you'd know anyway; at 25kph you'll forever be overtaken in a 30mph area, at 50kph you'll be around the speed of most of the traffic. In a way it doesn't matter too much, the kit is clearly illegal as a pedelec anyway

Well, i dont have that, never did, from what i see the speed is generated from withing motor, becuase even if i dont pedal i still get the speed. What was with red in the picture it was only the pas sensor.
And i know its ilegal, but as long as i pedal is legal to go what speed you whant, in my country.

You're using a direct drive motor and the controller is picking up a speed signal from the back emf pulses. or from the motor hall sensors. I can't say for certain, but you should be able to fix your problem by using an actual sepeed sensor that you connect to the speed sensor connector on your controller if you have one, otherwise power it from any red and black 5v supply wires and connect the other wire to the white one in the motor connector. You then need to set P2 =1 instead of the present P2=0 in the LCD settings.

It might be worth checcking that P2 is set correctly to zero now. I'm wondering if you have it set to something other than zero, and maybe the controller is then looking for a speed sensor until it times out before using an alternative signal, which is what's causing the selay..

Yes, i tryed it now, it works instant , secounds not minutes , now i need to check if the speed indicated is ok, with a speed sensor

The problem is that that parameter tells the controller where to look for the speed signal. If you set it to the wrong source, it needs to wait until it's figured out that nothing is coming before it strts looking elsewhere for the speed. You can fit an external speed sensor, but then you have to set P2=1.
