Please remember that this only happened under load ie when the bike had my 16 stone on it , when the wheel was just lifted off the ground there was no problem at all

The Qxxx series motors have never worked very well sensor less. I guess it's because of the higher commutation speed. It's good to know that KT controllers can work with them if you get the right settings. I had the same problem with a Q75, where it would lose sync under high power conditions. It was sorted by the P1 setting.
