Is it possible to adjust the power settings on this display?
I find that I’m getting too much assistance on settling 1. Settings 4 to 5 seem ok.
Thanks.

Any setting changes you make may alter the other assist level settings so before making any change make a note of all parameters in the advanced screens.
In the P settings look to see if P3 is set for 1 or 0.
This setting is for PAS mode, 0 is for speed control and 1 is for current control. 1 is more gentle then 0 as you get amps increase in each assist level.

If no change try C settings C14 is for pas tuning/strength, there are 3 settings 1 - 3/weak to strong assist.

Set P3 to 1 it will give you about 35-40W at assistance level 1 with a 36v battery and 15A controller, just enough to cancel out the weight of the bike.

Thanks for your replies.
P3 was already set to 1 so I set C14 to 1 (it was at 2). All seems good at the moment. It’s a 48V battery.

A 20 A controller with a 48v battery will give about 60 W at assistance level 1 or 50% more power than the example above. You will notice the difference!

Not sure I'm in the right thread but here goes on the LCD 3 C08 if set to 1 the motor temperature will give a reading if you have such a sensor in the motor,if you set to 0 then it shouldn't give any readings if I'm correct.
But I have it set to 0 in C08 but still I'm getting readings is this normal or do I have something set wrong any help much appreciated.

There's no temperature sensor in the motor. The LCD shows the temperature in the LCD. That's all.

C5 parameter sets the current. Values between 3 and 10
10 for 100% of rated current
03 for 50% of rated current
See display manual for in-between values,

I always seem to get 100-120 watts in PAS level 1 on 36V and C5=10, Half a dozen installs.

On the LCD3, the temperature refers to a sensor inside the display.

The LCD3 settings do allow for it to read a remote number from the controller, but the controller has to have the capability to read and send it. I've owned a number of KT controllers too, maybe five different types, and none had inputs for a motor sensor.

Where is the bike being kept to see 22c , it certainly isn't a motor temp.

The temp seen is an idea of the ambient air temp the bike sits in , so if your house heating is 20c + then that is what you are seeing. A motor needs a seventh wire for a temp sensor .

Thanks for the reply but I'm pointing to the motor w in the screen where it reads 23 this only a screen shot of course but when I'm riding this can fluctuate from 345 to 455 and like I already explained the LCD 3 setting C8 Gives two options 0 for off and 1 for on ,mine is set to 0 therefore I should not be getting any readings in this setting if I'm correct or am I missing something or doesn't it matter if it's 0 or 1 they both give a reading.

That is motor power output , it is roughly telling you the watts output of the motor dependant on the assist level used.
