My Mirider is fitted with the KT LCD5 controller. l've been in the setup menu and there's an option to turn on regenerative braking.

lt's set to "off" in the settings.

lf l turn this on, will the motor supply power to the battery when slowing down? l think it's a feature that isn't allowed on legal ebikes in the U.K. but if it works l can't see an issue in turning it on.

l did try turning it on, and couldn't feel
any difference, or is the Mirider motor not capable of this function.

Not if the hub is geared. For regen one needs a DD hub.

geared hubs have an internal freewheel so can be ridden unpowered, not so with a DD.

Okay, so l must have a geared hub then. Thank you for the information, l will forget the "regeneration" settings.

I did manage to activate the "cruise" control though l am unlikely to use it tbh.

Quite novel though, just sitting there while the bike trundles along at 15mph

l also found a setting to enable the boost button to work without pedalling (boost gives full power instantly)
but didn't bother with that, as l want to actually ride the bike and get some exercise!!
