help
Done my reading (see past posts) bought an Agutti thanks mostly to Flecc magic review, and it works, did the same work for Jen decided on a mistral but at last moment found frame size too big. J is about 5'3" and like me 70, enjoys cycling but a bit more susceptable to fatigue, thats why I need a power assist, throttle control, so that on silly hills (cornwall) she can walk up with bike pulling itself.
I cant find any step thro with some gears..Electric transport came up with the blackridge or similar but it has no gears. I get 18 miles from my Agattu, with all the help I can give hate to think what a one gear bike would do.
Have finally?? settled on the Windsor lpx , but what worries me is that it doesnot drive thro gears(chain) is that a big problem

The Windsor is a very good bike, but I'm not sure it meets your needs.

Firstly it is fine on moderate hills but not ideal for the 'silly' ones that you have in Cornwall. I'm a fairly fit cyclist but struggled to get it up a 1 in 10, although I can ride non-electric up much steeper hills.

My main concern though is that it will be less pleasant for two people to ride together (assuming that is what you want to do) with two such different bikes. The Agattu will get up much steeper hills than the Windsor, be faster on the flat, but the Windsor might be faster on moderate hills (AtoB reported this with their Windsor and Lafree). There was another poster on this forum a while back - I think he was called Mr Camera Dealer - who bought himself an Ezee Liv and his wife a Windsor. He was then very dissatisfied, not because the Windsor let his wife down in any way, but because it didn't perform exactly like his Liv!

If you want to ride together, you'll find it less convenient to do it unless you've got more similar bikes.
