I really hope this is in the right forum, I couldn't find anywhere I thought it really fitted...

Anyway, I'm considering getting myself a Juicy Compact Click bike (it will have to wait until the New Year, but I do like to look at things well in advance of when I buy them). I was just wondering, though, if anyone can tell me about how well it actually folds down. On Juicy's website, there aren't any images or videos showing what the bike looks like folded, and I did email them yesterday about it but I've heard nothing back.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I had a cyclomatic folder which is similar, and it was a wide awkward lump when folded, okay for putting in the boot of a car though.
So I have to first ask why do you need a folder?

another similar bike

Well, I want a folder because I have a tiny car (peugeot 107) that's not so suitable for fitting a bike rack, but I still want to be able to take my bike with me when I visit my parents (who live 200+ miles away - not going to be cycling that far haha!) Also, it would be a bonus to be able to neatly pack it away when not in use. Though I do plan to use it regularly for commuting (office is just under 5 miles away from home).

I really don't want to purchase a folder that winds up being a horrendous lump when folded up - neatness and compactness is a biggie for me. If nothing but for my own personal aesthetic tastes.

This is why I'm wondering if the Juicy bike is maybe not for me... Looks a bit bulky, doesn't it? But I do love that pretty vintage look it's pulling off!

You'll need the seats down of course. neatness and compactness isn't something you could call these folders. I have a Dahon Mu xl normal folder, and whilst neater you'd still need the back seats down.

Whilst I appreciate the suggestion, I do really want an electric bike, not a normal one...

Oh Gawd - You're quite right, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a picture to hand. I will remedy tomorrow and upload onto our website.
I wouldn't recommend this bike for use on the underground, but two fit happily in the back of a Honda Jazz, not that I'd recognise that car - I'm not a car fanatic.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Ah, I see it! Thanks for the heads-up, but I'd prefer to buy new - that way I can get the colour I want :) Also means I can use the cycle to work scheme to spread the cost out!

My best advice is too try as many as you can and try folding and lifting into car.
fit suspension saddle post for the back side.

All folding ebikes are heavy lumps, but only you can decide if the bike is too heavy or too lumpy.

It doesn't really matter what make of bike, they are all pretty much the same in terms of weight and lumpiness.

The good news is the bike should do your five mile commute, and Juicy is a decent make and supplier.
