hi everyone enjoying bikeing in the nice weather we are having in my area at the moment but just wondered being new to this can i cycle in the rain on an electric bike
Any part which is latterly sealed to be water resistant/proof may still get very damp even if the bike is not used in wet conditions! The moisture comes from the condensating air inside the enclosure! Unless the bike electrics has been designed to have a very high Ingress Protection (IP) Rating to ensure that it is airtight, applying retrospective sealing could be counterproductive. The other one to be careful about is sealing up box sections (controller housing, etc) if any water does get in it may not be able to get out - it has happened to a few forum members .... me included
