I tried to beat my top speed today but I can't. I don't think changing the tyres will help much, it's the gearing I guess. My legs don't want to spin any faster. So, 35 mph seems to be my best on the flat. My next challenge is to see the furthest I can go on one charge of the battery.
It's going to be a good summer. :)

P.S I best buy a second battery in case I run out about 20 miles from home.

Let me second that. I ran out of juice a couple of months ago only 3 miles from home and I couldn't believe how hard it was to peddle the BS10 without power and it makes you realise just how much help you actually get even on the lowest setting. Trying to cycle a 20kg plus bike is always going to be an eye opener without electric help.

The Typhoon pedals OK when not under power. My problem would be if I ran out of juice many miles from home. If I could cycle 20 miles home without power, I wouldn't need an electric bike.
A second battery will be my next purchase.

Of course, now that I've typed this I sense a new challenge coming on. I'll see how far I can cycle with no power turned on. I may be gone for some time. ;)
