Other than the fact he is semi-literate, what is there to suggest he is a thief?

There are people in this thread who cannot spell, do you think they are all thieves?

As trex points out, ebay sellers sometimes list stuff at odd prices so it comes up first in searches, hoping a buyer will contact them to do a deal.
Here I wesemble dat remark.
Wot chew saing

Woah mate, keep yer hair on, only a bit of light-hearted banter
Not so much hair left to stay in place.

My question to you was just that, a simple question.

I believe ebay is infested with thieves, con men, fences, and other people of ill repute, so I will not use it.

But there are plenty of honest sellers and this could be one.

The difficulty is picking who is honest and who is not.

I do believe that eBay is not such a pleasant place to shop these days, because users continue to break eBay's rules.

There's no fun in bidding for a item, if the seller doesn't honour the sale, as what has happened in D8ve's case.

I think the seller is probably genuine, but has disregarded eBay's rules and should be offering his bike on Gumtree instead.

Oh, and I think all the forum members are a bunch of thieving toe-rags..... Only kiddin :D

Be nice to the guy. You never know, the bike might come with a puncher like many of the ones you see in the Facebook ads.

Indeed. If I mention ebay or Cash Converters to any of the police officers I know, the result is a very pained expression!

Hmm, wonder which camp I fall into:oops:

I list quite a few items on eBay but don't sell much through that channel, it is a good shop window though;)

Look, being bald is not as bad as it seems. Plus there are some lovely William Shatners on the market.

Just don't buy one off eBay!
Eh, I must be the only sane person left on this forum:confused:
BTW, that remark was rhetorical so no need for an answero_O

I think he meant a syrup.

Some look quite well, but you will be forever nervous on windy days.

Just for the record the seller hasn't spelt 'their own' address properly.

Muddled, dyslexic or well dodgy you decide...
Have you got the bike yet?

Funnily enough just this minute got a refund notification with this message:

"The price is £1150 u know that if intrested ring eBay won't let me list the item for no more than £650"

I'll see what else I can find out about it

He’s now sold it twice yesterday. Did he ask you to agree to withdraw from the sale? If you don’t, and why should you, he’ll pay the fees. But that will only be £1.50 so he can swallow that in the hope of getting a buyer off eBay by fishing like this. At the very least he should have been given negative FB but I don’t suppose he cares about that because his membership is probably a burner, or use once only.

If he keeps listing it keep buying it. Eventually he’ll get rumbled and banned. What eBay really don’t like are listings like this which are just a way of trading off eBay and doing them out of their rip off ten percent.

Really!!
Why would eBay set a max limit at such an odd figure and why would they price themselves out of a potential sale.
I think someone is telling you a porky ;)
